Description

La Seine Musicale is a popular concert venue and music and performing arts center located on Ile Seguin, an island in the Seine River between Boulogne-Billancourt and Sèvres, in the western suburbs of Paris, France.

The musical complex La Seine Musicale is a striking landmark of the nearest suburb of Paris, the town of Boulogne-Billancourt. The location is distinguished by the fatalistic design of the building, which was erected on the site of a Renault plant closed in 1992. The decision to build the location was first made in 2013. An amount of 170 million € was allocated for the implementation of the project, and the construction site itself was transferred by the city hall for a symbolic price of 1 €.

Construction of La Seine Musicale began in 2014. The area of all halls and auditoriums at the location is more than 36,000 square meters. The building itself, 280 m long, has retained the basic proportions of the white factory buildings and from a distance resembles the sides of an ocean liner. Construction of the facility lasted only a few years and was completely completed by the spring of 2017.

When creating the interior spaces of La Seine Musicale, the experience of leading specialized companies was used. For example, many stages were designed by UCKS Sceno employees, and experienced professionals from Nagata Acoustics and Lamoureux Acoustics were directly responsible for the acoustics of the concert halls.
